The Boss of You

When we started out working on our book we had a pretty strong hunch that as small business women we were not alone. And yet, we found very few resources or even media representation of other small businesses run by women (aside from all the fabulous women we already knew). When we started on our research, we soon found that our hunch was right. Big time. Turns out that by 2010 predictions say that there will be at least one million women running small businesses in Canada alone. Cool huh? It turns out that small businesses are one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy and that women are starting new business at rates three times those of their male counterparts.
