The CBC is seeking auditioners for what sounds like an American Inventor-meets-The Apprentice-type reality TV show, where Canadian entrepreneurs are given a chance to pitch their ideas to a team of investors. I’m highly skeptical about these types of things, but then again, it could turn out to be cool… especially if one of the contestants were putting forward a product that was kinda progressive. So: if any of you readers are (or know of someone who is) Canadian and doing something cool, read on!

(The following info came from the Women’s Enterprise Society e-newsletter. There was no link to further information, and a quick web search hasn’t turned up anything, other than re-postings of this same blurb.)

Think You’re Canada’s Next Business Mogul? The CBC Needs You!

Think you’ve invented a better mousetrap?

Do you have a business idea that’s just waiting to become the next big thing?

Does your company need investment and guidance to take it to the next level?

If so, the CBC wants to hear from you!

Auditions are happening in the coming months for a CBC Television show that will hit the airwaves this fall. The CBC is giving Canadian entrepreneurs the chance of a lifetime - 15 minutes to pitch their big idea to a panel of major league investors.

This once-in-a-lifetime chance to sell and cajole a captive group of savvy investors could net you a cash infusion, not to mention the added exposure your business will get from being on national television.

So, if you think yours is the next great business venture,
the CBC wants to hear about it.
