How to be an Etsy Superstar

April 2nd, 2008 by Emira · 2 Comments

Venuszine has a great article on their site right now written by successful Etsy vendor Moop. (Strangely enough I found myself lusting after a Moop bag on Etsy just the other day). Amy Strauss Wendy Downs, the seamstress behind Moop bags has some great tips to get you started on topics like the value of pretty photos, DIY promotion and blogging in concert with your Etsy shop. We mention Etsy in our book, and honestly for the DIY businessgal just dipping her toes in the E-Commerce water, I think it is one of the best ways to go. It’s a great way to get some early product feedback, move some products (bring in some cash) and get your ducks in a row while you think about full on world domination (or just setting up your own web shop, which ever comes first).

[Oops, Amy Strauss wrote the article but the tips came from Wendy Downs. Our bad. Thanks, Jennifer.]

    Isn’t Wendy the Moop seamstress?

I am very excited to have found your site.
    Good luck! Jennifer
