The brilliant author and all around superstar Felicia Sullivan is running a contest on her website right now to give away a copy of The Boss of You. All you need to do is leave a comment describing your dream “boss of you” job at Felicia’s site. Hearing other people’s business dreams is one of my favourite parts of this book process, particularly because we get to watch so many of them become a reality over time. Go throw your hat in the ring at Felicia’s site and you may snag yourself an early copy of the book!

oops! i posted this comment in another section by accident! here is it:
i am living my dream right now, having taken that huuuggeee leap, and many other big and little ones along the way! i launched hazelnut cottage on etsy almost 1 year ago and though struggling with all of the common small business woman, artist stuff, i am loving it!!! i came from two very different careers; graphic designer and elementary school teacher, in my search for something to soothe the artist angst i was feeling for so many years. staying home with my babies full-time gave me the ‘permission’ to give my dream a try! i am an indie artist, finding my way.

Hi hazelnutcottage,
Nope, I think you left your comment in the right spot — it looks like you posted on Felicia’s blog, which is indeed the place for it. Thanks for participating!

Kids tend to dream about becoming a famous singer, actor, or fashion designer, something that is glitzy and glamorous. I’ve always dreamt of owning my own business and to me that was glamorous. That dream is still very close to my heart and I’ve started my own little shop at Etsy but I have aspirations of going bigger (delusions of grandeur my husband quips). I currently work in advertising and want to own my own media buying company. I’m excited and scared but I’m trying to lay a foundation because when I take the leap I want to be a success story!!
